JR Panel and Paint Ltd has vacancies for 2 Panel Beaters for its shop at St Johns, Auckland.
This is a full-time permanent role at 30 hours per week minimum hours to 40 hours maximum hours per week. The pay rate is at $29.66 per hour.
Regular working hours: 07:30-16:00 Monday to Friday (some weekend work required to meet deadlines)
Tasks Include
1. Repair damage body work on vehicles, and form replacement panels and parts
2. Removing dents by hammering panels and straightening damaged parts using
mechanical and hydraulic equipment
3. filling depressions, filing, grinding, and sanding repaired surfaces
4. cutting and joining replacement sections, fitting repaired or replacement panels and
body hardware
5. Spray painting vehicle, colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and
selecting pre-mixed paint.
6. Applying primer and finishing coats using spray guns, and sanding surfaces between
coats
7. Touching up paintwork, applying polish to vehicles, and treating vehicles with rust-
proofing chemicals
Applicants must:
1. Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a panel beater.
2. Knowledge and experience in vehicle painting is an advantage.
3. Have NZ residency or valid NZ work visa.
4. Be flexible with work hours and willing to work during weekends if needed.
