Position Overview

As Jr. Financial Controller, you are responsible for statutory reporting in accordance with local GAAP rules. These would include holding and operational entities. You will ensure tax and audit compliance. Performing month-end and year-end close processes. A good understanding of business processes is key to be able to evaluate the accuracy of the financials in general.
Job Responsibilities

Preparation of statutory annual accounts.

Prepare analytical reviews of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement.

Maintain CIT and VAT tax positions.

Setting up and maintaining supporting documentation: tax, legal, audit, and account reconciliations

Perform period-end close processes

Support Strategic and IT projects

Competencies

Team-player, and detail oriented

Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Proven track record to thrive in an international matrixed environment, with flexibility to adapt to short timelines and changing priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar education

2-5 years’ experience in finance or accounting

Knowledge of Dutch GAAP rules

Experience with corporate income tax and VAT

Experience with financial systems, SAP (ERP) is plus

Ability to interpret and apply accounting policies

Team-player, and detail oriented

Fluent in English and Dutch
