Mō te tūranga | About the role
As the Communications Intern, you will be working with the New Dunedin Hospital Project Team and the Te Whatu Ora Communications Team, this role will be focussed on assisting with the preparation of communications materials, primarily about the New Dunedin Hospital Outpatients Building, aimed at Te Whatu Ora staff and the Southern community.
The main focus areas of your role will include a range of media including (but not limited to):
- Videos which may contain a range of media such as film, graphics, sound and animation
- Photographs of the site, people or events
- Graphics such as pictures or infographics
- Interviews with Te Whatu Ora staff
- Articles for internal newsletters or intranet pages about project news or personnel.

We are looking for a positive, proactive and motivated individual to step into this varied and busy role.
You will ideally bring the following skills and experience with you:
- Have or be studying towards a relevant graduate qualification
- Experience in preparing communications materials and in a range of communications media.
- An interest in healthcare communications
- Confidence to build successful working relationships with those around you, the ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role
