HR Business Partner Recycling [Norway]


 

The Hydro Aluminium Metal (AM) business area has a total annual production capacity of more than 2 million tons of primary aluminium and has more than 5 600 employees in 16 countries. We produce primary aluminium, recycle, and supply our customers with casthouse products.


We now have a vacancy as HR Business Partner to be part of and support our Recycling Business Unit in Hydro AM, a position which offers an excellent opportunity to take part in developing a growing business within recycling globally driving and further strengthening the leadership- and organizational development area to support this strategy.


Area of Responsibility

The HR Business Partner will be part of the business unit management team in Recycling. You will also support AM in developing and implementing organizational and leadership development programs and initiatives across the organization, together with other HR resources.


The purpose of your role is to bring HR insight, best practice and change management capability to the achievement of strategic business goals. You will provide business insight into the development and implementation of HR initiatives and address key people issues impacting the effective operation and further development of the business.


These are some key deliveries:

  • Contribute to shaping business strategies and translating business requirements and issues into people solutions
  • Work with managers to understand operational priorities and advise on the need for strategic change, continuous improvement and support by offering HR expertise, methods and tools
  • Deploy People/HR strategies, policies, guidelines and initiatives
  • Ensure that resources are aligned to business plans with effective manning and training strategies
  • Facilitate processes related to project organization and rotation/mobility
  • Provide advice on employee relations or performance issues
  • Manage relationships with employee representatives


Qualifications

To succeed in the role, we believe you have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Extensive experience from strategic HR and People Processes, either as an HR Business Partner, Specialist or line manager
  • Proven ability to analyze business trends and initiate people actions to meet current and future business needs
  • Experience with strategic organizational change management, from planning through implementation to follow-up
  • Ability to build trustful relations and communicate efficiently with different stakeholders
  • Fluency in English

HR Business Partner reports to Lead HR Business Partner in Aluminium Metal.


The location of the position in Norway is Oslo, but other Hydro sites in Europe will also be considered.
